You have indeed, and I have no argument with your perspective on it.

Peter may have stated his thoughts briefly enough this time that it can be taken to mean a lot less than he actually thinks, but he has *many* times expanded on that to the point where there can be no question about what he thinks and means.

As you state above, "that's blindness", and that is exactly the blindness he has repeatedly demonstrated in his (very technically accurate) articles about Linux. Peter *knows* Linux, and probably better than any two others that commonly post to this newsgroup. Now, if only he were a little smarter... ;-)

I had a conversation with an excellent attorney the other day, who was very annoyed with a colleague that had been rude to a cab driver. We agreed that we can only do what we do *because* that cab driver does what he does equally well. He deserves the *same* respect.

I'm sure that Peter is rude to cabbies!

I wasn't as clear as I could have been - sorry. What I was trying to say is that, generally speaking, the longer you spend in here answering the (more or less) same, (more or...

Now, if only others (Peter) can catch the drift...

It's embarrbutting.

...

I noticed that. It needed some support, so that people don't think you are all alone in the woods on this issue.
