Ayttm Current development

I have been using the Ayttm multi-protocol IM client for some time, and have found it to be VERY useful. I started using it over the probably more common "GAIM" client because of bugs in the GAIM Jabber client (status icons never updated right). I found that it also worked very well as a MS Messenger client, albeit without all the funky extensions like video.

I have a DVD (+RW) I've recorded on a home DVD recorder (Bush DVHRS02 combi DVD recorder-VCR). I want to...

The problem is, MS has once again changed their protocol in order to break other non-MS clients. I checked GAIM again, and it seems to have been updated so I can log in to my AOL and MS accounts. However, the Ayttm client is now broken.

My SPECIFIC question is, does anyone know of active development going on with the Ayttm client beyond version 0.4.6-17? I went to the Web site around Feb 2004, so that's a dead end. Has anyone else picked up the project? I haven't found anything on **RECENT** Google. (Yea, there are plenty of references there, but nothing more recent then what I already have, so don't tell me, "USE GOOGLE, YOU DOLT!")

Obviously, switching to GAIM is an option, buttuming they have fixed their Jabber issues, but I would rather stick with Ayttm, simply because that's what I have set up, and I know the interface.

Any help would be appreciated!
