Comes in handy, yanno? Particularly given the love of Flash that a lot of webmasters seem to have nowadays.

It wasn't that funny.

Cool. Can we download it? Can we see the source? Is it open source? If not, why not?

Windows luddites don't, they just jump to the USPTO and get granted for "Method and action for maintaining coldness." while the rest of us freedom-loving types go with the peppered, spit-roasted carcbuttes of closed source platforms and spit them out in tiny bubbles. Then we go tear up the tracks with our (admittedly possibly older) hardware, using bleeding edge software technology that is open to everyone to use, mangle, tweak and make better to use on our built-to-last 486 boxen. Give me a £25-free computer to run Linux on and all the software I need for everyday work tasks so I can spend the other £900 I'd've otherwise spent on the latest gear, on LOTS AND LOTS OF BEER! You go buy your own. Oh, wait, you're broke, you just went and bought a new motherboard, cpu and RAM just to be able to run the latest offering from Microsoft? SUCKER!!

um? I play NFS:U on my Knoppix-Debian box quite well, tyvm. 40fps. And that's only a lowly 1.0 PIIIm. Not listed in my sig because you'll just hate me more for it.

um? 1.5MBit downstream-512KBit up via Gigabit ethernet. G'bye. And all my boxen run through it. With Firefox (paranoid by design, tyvm, and NO ACTIVEX who in the hell in their right mind would allow a WEB PAGE to run system-level code anyway??? That's just asking for tr - oh, wait, you're a Windows lover. My apologies), Thunderbird (also paranoid by design - no scriptrunning allowed, inline images hidden untilyou the userspecifies that you want them to show, attachment files quarantinedby default...), OpenOffice for the office stuff and Zope-MySQL for DBMS - fast and fully configurable. Gimme. Oh, and GIMP for me graphics.

Dream on.

-- Cheers,

Jim
