Booting Win2k with grub 120On Thu, 12 Jan 2006 00:31:30 GMT, imotgm staggered into the Black Sun and said: This is not really a good idea. Put the 'Doze drive on hda, the Linux drive on hdb, and the CD on hdc. That'll work better for most purposes. Just install GRUB to the MBR of the 'Doze drive; it should work fine as log as it can seeboot . Booting Win2k with grub 121 On Wed, 11 Jan 2006 18:45:59 -0600, Dances With Crows This part is actually a great idea. I've run with this basic... Yeah. Theboot-grub-grub.conf file would be nice to see. There's gotta be a way to use something like the "map-drive from = 0x80 to = it'll work with the 'Doze drive on hdc though; the x86 BIOS is only guaranteed to be able to read the first 2 disks. I've heard reports of it working, but those were a while ago. I advise most folks to keep theirboot on the first disk and install a smart bootloader to the MBR of that first disk--that just reduces problems and makes everything simpler in almost all cases on the x86.
