Debian unstable-sid hotplug 20040329-25 libgphoto2-2 2.1.6-5.1 libgphoto2-port0 2.1.6-5.1 My camera is set to PTP mode, and I can access it and download photos as root with no problems. But not as user (the same case as with my iRiver mp3 player). So my guess is that my problem is hotplug. $ lsetc-hotplug-usb ifpdev ifpdev.usermap libgphoto2 libgphoto2.usermap Curious Firefox error 337 On Tue, 07 Feb 2006 09:33:04 +0000, Robert Hull snip of childish bickering by both sides Then you address must... $ moreetc-hotplug-usb-libgphoto2 #!-bin-bash GROUP=camera if "$ACTION" = "add" && -f "$DEVICE" then # check if $GROUP really exists chmod 660 "$DEVICE" chown root:$GROUP "$DEVICE" fi fi and frometc-hotplug-usb-libgphoto2.usermap: # Nikon Coolpix 3200 (PTP mode) libgphoto2 0x0003 0x04b0 0x0121... but fromvar-log-messagess: kernel: usb 1-3: new full speed USB device using ohcihcd and address 13 Curious Firefox error 336 On Mon, 06 Feb 2006 00:24:41 +0000, Robert Hull Now THAT is imbecillic posturing not worth reading.
