Checksum OT 4274VPN and Fedora serverWin client 4276 In researching the issue, I found this site: Which helps explain and set up OpenVPN using the bridged, as opposed to tunneled method. This sounds like the method I need to use... If you check the thread, you will find that everyone is responding to your second post (apart from the one person, whoever he was, who saw the original). I do not "follow" threads! When a post arrives, I follow up to it or I toss it. Thank you, but my server is just the way I like itm, and it has a much lower retention than ten hours! About 200 posts. No one couldn't. Do you really not understand how usenet works? Physically, I mean! Of course it is! It seems to me you do not understand the medium you are writing in. This is usenet - propagation is not guaranteed either in time or quanbreasty. Yu can only count on people seeing ONE post of yours. Checksum OT 4275 On Thu, 28 Jul 2005 10:33:56 +0200, Peter T. Breuer No, you responded to my first post. I suggest you check the thread...
Tut tut - nobody would go searching on google for "earlier posts". They won't even show up there for eight hours anyway. Try and understand the medium - why do you think this is like email, when it is not! Posts are sent out in magnetic tapes on the backs of camels across the desert, and may take minutes hours days or weeks to propagate. You don't know. The camel may die on the way. All you know is that a person who sees your post sees your post AND NO MORE. Why does the obvious have to be stated to you? Are you unaware of this? No it isn't. That's not appropriate. The appropriate format is 1) observed problem - car does not start 2) observed symptom - turning key produces whirr-whirr-thunk sound and no engine firing. 3) context - it was alright yesterday. Today all I did different was have Alpen for breakfast. It was a cold night. Peter
