College and Linux don't mix well : 4376College and Linux don't mix well : 4379 Susan Lapinski Then use it if you prefer it. Yes. That's exactly what I'm claiming. Laptop Computer Requirement for... Susan Lapinski Of what? That Linux isn't an acceptable alternative at NYU? You haven't provided any proof of this. Proof that what, your a troll? I don't need to. Come to think of it, I'll use the same logic you used to support your preference for Windows: Everyone else thinks your flatfish, so therefore you must be flatfish. They've been chiming in all on their own. Facts about what? That NYU wants you to use a Windows system? That doesn't mean Linux won't work. No, I'm quite correct. It *is* a requirement for ABA-approved law schools. College and Linux don't mix well : 4377 Really? Where do you see Linux mentioned here? Do you realize that unlike you, who is more than likely living at home with mommy, I am... Which won't get you pbutted the LSAT requirement. NYU says it is. So does the LSAC, and ABA. On your LSAT score. You could well know more, but it doesn't mean they would accept you into law school. The LSAT isn't a test of how much law you know--among other things, it's a test of how logical your thought processes are. It's a test of the skills considered important to a student of law. Where experience means less than a peice of paper. Yup. That's why I prefer it. Alright; "Buy a Wireless Bridge". Problem solved. Might I suggest the Motorola WE800G? No idea. Possibly. By using words like "I don't know" when I'm not sure of an answer? I do know that Linux supports bluetooth. Your right, I haven't used bluetooth on my Linux boxes--none of them have a bluetooth adapter. Though I have helped others get bluetooth working in Linux. Most bluetooth devices act as a serial device, so support is built into the kernel. All you really need is a BT stack (BlueZ is built into the Linux kernel by default). Uhh. no. I said "I don't know". Mostly because I don't know if your particular phone will work. I do know that bluetooth will work on Linux, however. Umm, no google checking required. But if your interested in Bluetooth on Linux, there's a fine HOWTO floating around. Maybe you could get that phone working so you'll shut up about it. Shouldn't be much of a problem for one of the fine students at NYU's law school. What does your grade have to do with Quicken? About what? I told you Quicken works. It does work. There's a bug with OLE, but Quicken itself runs fine.
