Then use it if you prefer it.

Yes. That's exactly what I'm claiming.

Laptop Computer Requirement for the 2005-2006 Academic Year

Overview All students enrolling at New York University School of Law are now required to have a Windows-based PC laptop with a wireless Internet connection. Whether you are studying in the Law Library, collaborating in a study room, or taking an in-clbutt exam, you will be using Wireless connectivity.

Although you may of course use a Windows-based laptop of your choice (provided that the laptop meets our minimum specifications, outlined below), the Law School has made arrangements with the NYU Computer Store for a Windows-based laptop configuration for purchase. Please see the enclosed flyer for details. This information is also available on the Admitted Students Web site, accessible from www.law.nyu.edu-depts-admissions.

A printer for personal use, though not required, is recommended for a variety of uses including printing clbutt handouts and take-home exams. Although laser printers are available in the Law Schoolユs computer labs for printing course-related buttignments, reports, research projects, and the like, you should not count on these community printers to print take-home exams which are sometimes severely time-limited. Thus, if you are not comfortable reading take-home exams on a computer screen, you should purchase a printer.

For more information on Technology at NYU School of Law, visit the Law School's Technology Web pages.

Minimum Hardware Requirements ・ Windows 2000-XP PCs ・ Pentium III or better ・ 128 MB of memory ・ 20 gigabyte hard drive ・ 56K internal modem ・ 100 MB Zip Drive or USB 256 MB Memory Key * ・ CD-RW-DVD combo drive ・ 10-base-T Ethernet p-card and cable ** ・ Wifi card, also know as IEEE 802.11b-g wireless networking card **

Then I am sorry for that, I didn't mean to insult you. My point still stands that dual booting is possible.

Correct.

Since you claim to use (or have used) Linux, you should have experienced that some OSes are better suited for one thing than other OSes. This is why it is better to have both Linux and Windows installed. Especially considering the diminutive effort is it to maintain Linux.

That's like saying that a #2 pencil is required to take a test, and the school sells Eberhard Faber wooden pencils. Nothing prevents you from acquiring a mechanical pencil...

So do most computers.

Yes, I can. Except for the fact that I would expect a small form instead of a couple of questions. But the network will be there if you know what to put into it. -- -----BEGIN GEEK CODE BLOCK----- Version: 3.12 ------END GEEK CODE BLOCK------
