Compilation weird failure, Help appreciatedHello hello:) I have a compilation problem, and alas I don't manage to solve it. Could I ask you folks your opinion and help ? :) My environment is a Pentium 4, Mandriva 2006, KDE 3.4.2 and Gnome 2.x, QT3, devel packages, errr, I think that's enough. My problem lies with the software Knewspost (it is a newspost frontend for Newspost), here is the URL for its homepage The .-configure failes with that error message : * found. Please check your installation! * The .-configure options allow --with-qt-dir=-usr-lib-qt3but adding this won't solve anything. In the source folder, that creates a config.log, and its results weird : the installer requires precise files, files that ARE actually present in the correct folders where it will search for them (-usr-lib-qt3-include-)... and yet he seems to fail to use or find them ! Here are the details : * configure:5666: checking for Qt configure: 5730:usr-lib-qt3--include-qstyle.h taking that tried NO triedusr-lib-qt3--lib triedusr-lib-qt3triedusr-lib-qt2-lib triedusr-lib-qt2 triedusr-lib-qt-lib triedusr-lib-qt triedusr-X11R6-lib triedusr-lib triedusr-local-qt-lib triedusr-X11R6-lib configure:5840: rm -rf SunWScache; c++ -o conftest -O2 -fno-exceptions - fno-check-new -I-usr-lib-qt3--include -I-usr-X11R6-include -DREENTRANT -LNONE -L-usr-X11R6-lib conftest.C -lqt -lpng -lz -lm -ljpeg -lXext -usr-bin-ld: cannot find -lqt collect2: ld returned 1 exit status configure: failed program was: #include "confdefs.h" #error 1 #endif int main() { QStringList *t = new QStringList(); QIconView iv(0); iv.setWordWrapIconText(false); QString s; s.setLatin1("Elvis is alive", 14); int magnolia = QEvent::Speech;* new in 2.2 beta2 * return 0; } * And yet a knewspost RPM package exists for Mandriva, I successfully tried installing it, and QT3 is in its dependencies - so that program should be compilable with QT3. no success in mounting digital camera as USB mbutt storage Hello, I have bought some exotic but cheap digital camera (VuPoint Solutions). Seems gtkam does not support it. So I try to mount it as... Would you find what isn't right with that ? Thanks a lot if you can help me, I'll be really grateful :) Sabin
