The Linux kernel does not include a spellchecker. Of course, ispell is available, among many others, for many distros.

hello everyone, i do not know whether this newsgroup is a right place to ask such questions...

I won't go into legacy products, but this looks like 29 variants of Windows, at least, with varying capabilities (presumably XP doesn't have IIS and Active Directory, for example).
