Curious Firefox error 340 In comp.os.linux.misc, on Tue 07 February 2006 19:14, Yes it will. It will go to the host of the eejit that misconfigures... Now THAT is imbecillic posturing not worth reading. Your address is a (albeit minor) transgression of netiquette and you should know better, yet you have a cavalier atbreastude about it and refuse to reform. Yes, you are enbreastled to use a netiquette-incorrect domain. For that matter, I am entiled to multi-post. It's a free country on the 'Net. We are both enbreastled to be stupid and apparently we are exercising that right. I probably never have multi-posted before (that I can remember anyway) because I knew better. I mean, I've been on Usenet since 1985, I know the rules. I certainly never will again, not after seeing how thin some skins are about it. So I apologize yet again and promise not to ever do it again. Are you willing to correct your address or apologize for your unforgiving atbreastude? My so-called 'cavalier atbreastude' is not a lack of sincerity, but rather my genuine amazement that anyone would be so upset by such a minor thing. It takes FAR more than a post to a couple of groups to get someone plonked by me. I'm on Usenet mostly to learn from others and offer my help when I think it's valuable, not to cop an atbreastude. More self-righteous posturing (that's not aimed at you, CBFalconer). I explained why I made the greivious error of mulit-posting, and the explanation included why the 2 extra posts were not cross-posted, yet no one seems to be able to read that part. It's not like I was posting in a dozen newgroups or making personal attacks. I simply had second thoughts about where I should have posted the question. Has no one else here ever thought maybe they should've posted in a different place after posting a question? Jeeezz...I apologized and thanked everyone for the help. Do you want me to grovel too? I won't - not over such a minor thing. Relax a little - maybe you're drinking too much coffee these days. I'll still be perfectly willing to help you or anyone else in the future if I can, and I won't much care if they use a netiquette-correct address or multi-post. That's really what the 'Net is about after all, sharing info and helping others, not silly arguements over correct placement of the silverware. -- Registered Linux user #266531
