Enlarging the terminal window 2683
Until recently I used a despammed.com address as my contact address for Usenet. It recently went belly-up. For info on mypacks.net:
I thought about it, but decided against that. I check my main mail account frequently, and the mypacks.net address goes into it. I'm far more likely to get a message from someone if I use it. Since starting with Earthlink, I've only used their news server. Before that, I was with a different ISP, and I used theirs. And so on back to my original dpnet.net address. OT Enlarging the terminal window On comp.os.linux.misc, in DeBusk" Trolls don't troll when they want help. Nor do they use the aliases that they troll with when they need help. No one... That's about right, I guess. I haven't been very active this year. Google Groups shows thousands of Usenet posts attributed to me since 1998-11-03 08:40 in newsgroup alt.psychology.nlp. Believe it or not, I have a life. It isn't much of one, but it's there. My job and my girlfriend both want a lot of my time. And by the way, I'm running OS-2, Linux, and -- occasionally -- Windows XP. I have a Windows 98 parbreastion available, but I don't use it and should probably just do away with it. What an odd thing to say. My post is obviously not trolling, and you and I exchanged quite a few e-mails some time back. You know who I am. You're in my killfile, Alan. I wouldn't have known you posted this at all if I hadn't been messing around in Google Groups from work. After you went nuts on me in e-mail and told me you'd be filtering my messages from then on, I killfiled you in SLRN so I wouldn't inadvertently respond to you here. If you're filtering me in your newsreader based on my e-mail address, add the mypacks.net address. Multicast enabled but not responding to Pings On 5 Oct 2006, in the Usenet newsgroup comp.os.linux.misc, in article If you look at the charters for the newsgroups, "comp.os.linux.misc" is for postings that don't belong in one of the other sixteen... I imagine people in general don't like you much after they exchange a few messages with you. I was disappointed, though, because I was sort of getting into our conversation. We weren't agreeing on everything, but I thought we were discussing things well. "Michael DeBusk" is it. I've never posted under any other name in Usenet. Unless I posted under "Mike DeBusk" at some point. I responded to this as a courtesy to you because I found that you had responded to my earlier query. Thank you, too, for that. Remember, though, Alan, that you're in my killfile. I won't see any response you post to this message. If you drop me an e-mail (the mypacks.net address *is* good) and let me know that your killfile entry is no longer necessary, I'll remove it. Incidentally, regarding all the troll-bashing you do... you seem like an intelligent guy, so I buttume you've read Don Quixote. Brilliant book, and the protagonist is a fine man. It's a shame that people tend to remember only that he attacked a windmill once.
