I completely agree. On Linux to intstall the nVidia driver is just to enter a simple command and it's just a matter of pressing Next. Windows is no better. Also, it doesn't hurt by getting Linux, it won't cost you a penny any way. Windows is far more buggy and any bugs that do come up in Linux gets fixed within 24 hours of the discovery, comparing to the weeks+ snail speed of Microsoft.

Here are some points to switch to Linux:

1) A far more powerful OS regarding how your computer should be run. That doesn't mean that beginners can't use Linux, most distributions works perfectly out of the box, without any more configurations than Windows.

2) Fully customizable to suit your system. When do you get to compile the Windows kernel?

3) Far less buggy. Bugs gets patched in a matter of hours.

4) As the result of 3, far more stable. Even if one of your applications do crash, it won't bring down the whole system.

5) All software are free. With Windows you have to buy more software. There is a replacement in Linux for any software in Windows, and they are all free.

6) The Open nature of the software on Linux makes you able to even change the software as you like. The updates are frequent as everyone gets to contribute. That doesn't mean you HAVE to download the updated versions. You can just choose a majore update every now and then.
