FIREFOX browser identification

Firefox warned me that it wasn't a trusted site. I would think that mozdev.org ought to be trustworthy, from the name anyway. But, I haven't really looked into it.

Say, why aren't the extensions I grabbed signed? Does anyone actually sign stuff?

The hint about how to get extensions was a great one. I'm not really after "IE Tab" though. That shows what a page looks like in IE. What I want to do is to fool a remote website into thinking that I'm browsing with IE and not with Firefox. MS sold web authoring tools at one time -- maybe they still do? -- which looked at the visiting browser's type and caused the webpage to NOT work unless the browser was IE. I think this started during the Netscape vs. Microsoft wars, and came to a head during the Microsoft vs. DoJ trial, which Microsoft lost, and was found guilty of doing just what I said with their authoring tools. In addition, they introduced bugs in their authoring tools, like not terminating tables, which were corrected for in their browser, making only IE able to view them. There are still pages out there which require the visiting browser to be IE. Once I fool the website into thinking I'm browsing with IE, then those pages nearly always work.
