Last month I installed Fedora Core 4 but today have replaced it with Debian "Sarge". It appears to work reasonably well although I havent a clue how to install plug-ins into Mozilla (no sound for websites with sound) Where Fedora failed to recognise my Maxtor Shared Drives (Windows - "deemed to be an NT Server without a keyboard, monitor, mouse or any of that nonsense") Debian did.....without having to dance the Samba or Waltz my way to Tipperary..... I learnt at an early age by watching Bill and Ben "The Flower Pot Men" on the bee bee cee in the uk. There was a thing that interrupted their conversations called "weed". Whenever "weed" popped up it muttered "weed" "weed". It didn't say anything else that I can remember. Neither Linux nor Windows had been invented and I doubt if Bill Gates or Linus had been born. Computers were big bulky things kept in vaults and used to decode Russian secrets.... .... and speaking of Russian secrets I note that British spy agencies have been caught planting fake electronic rocks around Moscow.. It would have been far more honest !
