Promoting emacs...not the point of discussion I dont think its difficult to find files-directories in Windows or other OSes. Frankly, I dont know what process tagged files model is. But if I try Emacs someday, your post will be helpful.

I dont know, and do I care? Its more about existance of such packages. If cost is a question - I would look at how quickly I can get things done for free or by spending, and then weigh my options. Now that I know about emacspeak, emacs might be something to consider Promoting emacs...helped a bit this time

In a discussion with one of my cousins, it seems like .NET application development was faster than Tcl-Tk but I want to try myself to see what is faster for *my* type of applications before generalizing. Have you had your hands on either? If so, what are your findings (Ignore emacs this time).
