I cannot imagine anyone, especially the manufacturer of a discontinued product, to compile and maintain such a list. You could get many of the needed updates by installing RHL 7.3 and picking up all the updates for that (if you can still find them. If you subscribe to Red Hat Network, I think those updates are still available with up2date). If you do that, you would still be at risk, since RHL 7.3 was discontinued as well at least a year ago (almost 2 years ago, IIRC).

Why does it not make sense? Ford Motor company does not make environmental updates for the Model T, the Model A, or even the Edsel anymore. Why should Red Hat make free updates for discontinued distributions. One of the facts of life of distributions is that when they are discontinued, updates by the manufacturer cease.

For the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3 (not quite the latest, but still supported for about 3 more years), it does not say how mucn RAM you need, at least in the Installation Guide. It certainly fits just fine in 4GBytes, but it can obviously fit in much less. At the moment, of 3.3GBytes in use, 2.78GBytes are used for Cache and 0.152 are used for buffers, so about 368 MBytes might be enough, depending on what you are doing. If you do not run a bunch of servers, etc., you could probably get by with less, but at some point you should consider a distribution other than current Red Hat ones if all you need is a desktop.
