Condescending and generalizing seems to be a trait among all Wintrolls, doesn't it?

I've also studied the inner workings of various operating systems. I know how to read and write. The latter seems to be somewhat of a challenge to you, doesn't it?

That alone already shows how narrowminded you are. The MacIntosh has been used for virtually just the same (and more) for many years, including now that it's driven by OS-X, and OS-X is vastly superior to Windows.

In addition, more advanced production-level workstations run UNIX, not Windows. UNIX operating systems are the de facto choice for scientists and engineers, and aside from Novell's Netware - which can only be used as a dedicated server - they are the only sane choice on a machine hooked up to a network.

I wonder if someday you'll realize the incredible irony of your post...of course, you would need to stop being a f***ing retard for that to happen...so I guess it's pretty...

Windows is as much a joke as you are. I'm sure the two of you will live happily ever after.

Paramount Pictures. Lucasfilm. Industrial Light & Magic. Pixar. Need I go on? Oh yes, and that little North American organization called NASA...

Absolute hogwash. The availability of hardware drivers is a matter of the hardware vendors, and the hardware industry is strongly supporting Microsoft, for the obvious reason that every new version of Windows will require more powerful hardware.

Well, that and the non-disclosure agreements they've got going on with Microsoft.

May I remind you that you're on Usenet, not in some gay bar...

Yes, I know you use it for your webserver - at least, that's what you said - because you're obviously too dumb to set it up as your workstation. You wouldn't be the first either.

And as a matter of fact, "Bumbles", I *do* use GNU-Linux for *everything* I need a computer for, and my team and I actually *do* produce things. And I have a very easy time maintaining our webcontent and our servers doing it all from my own GNU-Linux workstations than I would in your beloved crippled-down yet severely bugridden Windows, which has more holes in it than a fishing net and doesn't even have any serious tools without that you need to install third-party software.

And yes, several of our team members actually use Windows on their own machines. So I know what they can and what they cannot do with it.

Hogwash again. You should take a shower more often, with all that garbage spilling off of you on random intervals.

longer than Bill Gates has been wearing trousers that covered his socks. So what you're saying is that nothing got done IT-wise until Windows was released? I suppose Microsoft invented the Internet too, right? And webpages?

Whether I am an amateur or a professional is something you can't possibly even know, given that I live on an entirely different continent - although I seem to master the English language far better than you yourself.

It's not a matter of 'if they' it's a matter of f***ING CAN'T...yeesh...do you drooling doorknobs GET any more retarded? I mean I thought it was just the OP, but...

So keep your condescending adolescent drivel to yourself, will you? Being addicted to point & click interfaces and stupid childish denominations such as "a folder" or aseadrive, now *that's* what I call amateurism!

Well, it is my experience that people who call themselves "experts" and mention Windows as their operating system of choice are generally all *but* experts. Just as it is my experience that people who brag a lot are actually endowed with very narrow minds and poor intellect. Your writing style and logic so far only corroborate that.

There is a substantial difference between being good-experienced at using a particular software suite and understanding operating system technology. Maybe one day you'll grow a brain and then you'll see. I won't hold my breath though.

I'm not into peeing contests, and I resent having to lower myself to your standards. Yet 20 to 1 says you're wrong, oh Immature One.

How can you judge me as a newbie without knowing my backgrounds, or without knowing anything about me? Another stereotypical thing of a Wintroll: if you can't handle the message, attack the messenger...

Considering that the majority of the home and office PC users all run Windows and that they are the ones to exhibit this behavior, you've just shot yourself in the foot. Again.

Oh, this is a nice one...! Did you actually come up with that all by yourself or do you have your Internet ExploDer open at some webpage with quotes like that? Maybe one of your fellow scr1pt k1dd13s on MSN told you to tellthatto the big bad GNU-Linux user?

For your information, my IQ lies in the upper two percent range of the world's population - yes, it has been measured and registered - so I wouldn't be so condescending if I were you. People who insult other peoples' intelligence without as much as knowing them are generally not too bright themselves, and this whole thread is literally *full* of such idiotic and puberesque behavior from you.

And for your information, I already knew quite a deal on computers and microprocessors, and on operating system technology in general when I started using GNU-Linux, but ever since I have started using GNU-Linux, my knowledge regarding operating system design and networking technology has more than tripled.

And here's another FYI: back when I first installed GNU-Linux, I didn't even have an internet connection, and thus there was no such thing for me as a Usenet newsgroup to ask questions on. I simply Read TheFineManuals, and I had no problems whatsoever setting up GNU-Linux to my liking, and hooking it up to the internet once cable internet became available here in town.

Now please grow up and become a sensible human being. You've been trolling this newsgroup for far longer than you had a voucher for. And then you Americans wonder why we Europeans think you're so stupid - not that we do think that of all Americans, but anyway...
