Hi,

I am having problems getting Samba version 3.0101462 to authenticate against a Windows Server 2003 DC.

I keep getting prompted for a pbuttword which I don't want.

HOW TO MAKE THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS ON PAYPAL.COM
Here's the challenge: HOW TO MAKE THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS ON PAYPAL.COM THIS IS REAL... TAKE YOUR TIME AND READ THIS..... NOBODY IS SCAMMING...

I appear to have joined the CentOS Linux machine to the AD domain correctly, the netads join command worked successfully and so does the kinit command.

When I do wbinfo -u I get an 'error looking up domain users'.

My smb.conf file is as follows:

global log file =var-log-samba-%m.log idmap gid = 16777216-33554431 socket options = TCPNODELAY SOSNDBUF=8192 SORCVBUF=8192 wins server = 192.168.1.11 idmapuid = 10000-20000 hosts allow = 192.168.1. 192.168.2. 192.168.3. 192.168.100. 192.168.4. 127. encrypt pbuttwords = yes realm = BMT.CORDAH.COM netbios name = LO-FS-01 server string = LO-FS-01 printing = cups idmap uid = 16777216-33554431 pbuttword server = 192.168.1.11 workgroup = BMT-CORDAH os level = 20 printcap name = cups security = domain max log size = 50 winbind separator = + log level = 3

My nsswitch.conf file is:

One useful area where Linux lags behind Mac and Windows
I have been a Linux user for years, but there is one useful functionality that has mostly been...

pbuttwd: compat winbind group: compat winbind shadow: compat hosts: files dns wins

My krb5.conf file is:

logging default = FILE:-var-log-krb5libs.log kdc = FILE:-var-log-krb5kdc.log adminserver = FILE:-var-log-kadmind.log

libdefaults defaultrealm = bmt.cordah.com dnslookuprealm = false dnslookupkdc = false

realms BMT.CORDAH.COM = { kdc = ab-dc-x1.bmt.cordah.com:88 adminserver = ab-dc-x1.bmt.cordah.com:749 defaultdomain = bmt.cordah.com }

domainrealm .bmt.cordah.com = BMT.CORDAH.COM bmt.cordah.com = BMT.CORDAH.COM

kdc profile =var-kerberos-krb5kdc-kdc.conf

appdefaults pam = { debug = false ticketlifetime = 36000 renewlifetime = 36000 forwardable = true krb4convert = false }

Is there anything that I am missing in these files to allow this to work as it should?
