How do I get Firefox to use Sylpheed as email clientI can't find a way to convince firefox to use Sylpheed as my e-mail client when I click on a mailto: link. Sylpheed has instructions to add sylpheed --compose in the settings of the browser. There's the rub. There is no place to enter such settings in firefox. The only reference in the help pages to mail at all is "read mail", and that is for some other OS that sounds like parts of a house. LINUX DAY AT MY SCHOOL At my school, a business school catering to MBA's, we call the Linux people DORKS. Last year... I really like sylpheed. It works nicely with my mail server, and it calls firefox up quite nicely when I click on a link. Other than this, I like firefox. I had used Opera, but it has more trouble with some sites I need to use (like my bank, and some links at my university's site). All I want is reciprocity. I'm using debian testing (recently updated), with firefox 1.0.4 and sylpheed 2.0.0 Any suggestions would be appreciated, even if it's just RTFM -- as long as you tell me which FM to R. -- David L.
