He did *not* post the above as a response to *your* reply, and made no reference to you or what you wrote. What he did mention, was dead on.

To some degree the original response that Chris F.A. Johnson posted *was* exactly what the OP described above: disappointing because it was totally unrelated to the question asked, and it provided clearly useless information that indicated a near sighted view (of locally available facilities only) which didn't take into account the information provided.

Chris is never annoying though... and the OP never suggested that he was. I see nothing arrogant about that description. It might well annoy you, but maybe that is a valid point in itself!

And to be honest, even with Chris' second response, he still had not understood what the OP said in his original post. Everyone misses the point now and then, so I just don't see that as a big deal. I didn't get the idea that the OP feels any different; but it certainly *is* interesting when a number of people respond to a clear question with suggestions which are unrelated simply due to myopia. (Some people have reason to notice that, too!)

Your attempt to make a big deal out of it is arrogant and annoying.
