This isn't true. Swap and is all you REALLY need, and if you have enough RAM, a gig or more, you can get by without a swap, except for very memory hungry stuff like large compiles or scientific number crunching or image-audio-video processing-editing, etc.

Confidence. If I recall correctly, the FC4 installation program first gathers information asking you questions...

With a newer BIOS, say no older than 4 years, you don't need theboot parbreastion anymore.

Right now, I'm running FC4 with a 256MB swap and parbreastions only. Runs just fine. However, for safety of your personal data and for easier OS upgrading, do ahome parbreastion, too. (My set up is an emergency one on the slave drive that used for backups -- rejumpered to Master -- after my main drive had a catastrophic, unrecoverable failure. Totally useless, except as a doorstop or paperweight.)

I wouldn't chance doing an Auto parbreastioning, if you want to preserve your existing parbreastions. I did "Auto" one time with a Mandrake install and it wiped out all existing parbreastions, which had Windows and my personal data on them, and took up the whole drive for Linux. So, I don't trust "Auto" anymore.
