Raid on a USB drive
I've just thought of a weird one.... Is it possible (and practical) to set up raid with a USB drive? Here's the thought...

This is not the most idiotic company policy I've heard of, but it's right up there. Who writes policy at this place? Brine shrimp?

mount -t cifs-BORG-SHAREmnt-somewhere -o username=USER, pbuttword=PbuttWORD,workgroup=DOMAIN (now treatmnt-somewhere as if it's a normal filesystem.)

smbclient-BORG-SHARE -D DIRECTORY -Tx file.tar NOTE: read the man page for smbclient before using it.

eagle usb connexion
spyk a ˇcrit : and this is the eaglediag -masc : Diagnostic (1.23 2005-07-02) driver eagle-usb 20060604142551 # System Information Linux localhost 2.6.12-12mdk #1 Fri Sep 9 18:15:22...

...both mount.cifs and smbclient are part of Samba, though. I suppose you could re-invent the wheel by rewriting smbclient from scratch, but that'd take forever.

You may wish to point out to the idiot who wrote this policy that the policy is getting in the way of your work. Therefore, whatever depends on that work will not happen until the policy is changed. Bonus points if you can make it so that "printing paychecks for the policy-writing idiot" is one of those things that won't happen.
