Perhaps none of it is forged. I got about 100 of these, but that is because Thunderbird said there were several thousand new posts since an hour ago, and I said to download only 100 new ones. They all had a line-count of 3, so I just deleted all posts that were only three lines long. It probably will not take the spammer long to vary the number of lines, unfortunately. This kind of thing is why I think there should be a fee for sending e-mail and posting to UseNet. Perhaps only US$0.01 each, but enough to make it too expensive for spammers to do this. The fee to be collected by the original ISP and forwarded, along with the mail or posting, to the ISP that must deliver it. That way, even if the spammer has a captive ISP, no other ISP will relay the messages lacking the payment.
