If it goes out eth1, will not the receiving MTA look up the source IP address and compare it with the DNS for the sender, find they do not match, and drop the e-mail in the bit bucket? Or how about someone doing DNS blocking in their MTA, find that the IP address of eth1 is blacklisted and drop it for that? I really think I want to send the output of sendmail to the Internet through the ppp0 port. If it looks up my.static.IP, all is well, because DNS will make it go to my current ISP and then in through interface ppp0. I do backup all the Linux stuff everyday (i.e., everything under the (root) directory with the obvious omissions. And I back up everything on the C: (ntfs) and E: (vfat) and "system state" (I think it is called) whenever I am about to shutdown Windows XP Home. But if they really think I need their software on my machine, I sure will not be able to run it because the machine that will actually be connected to their software.
