How to stop using Ext3

Hi:

I have my fstab set up to mount ext2. But I get this:

rootfs rootfs rw 0 0dev-root ext3 rw 0 0 etc.

Despite:

dev-sda2 on type ext2 (rw,acl,userxattr) etc.

And:

dev-sda2 ext2 acl,userxattr 0 1dev-sda1 swap swap pri=42 0 0 etc.

How do I make the system stop mounting as ext3?

Also, what is the meaning of all this from dmesg:
