One of the 'gothchas' with the RHEL distros is the supported-unsupported kernels RPMs. The 'stock' (supported) kernels are 'missing' a pile of drivers (the ones that *RedHat* does not support). I suspect that the driver the OP needs is in this set. There is a 'chicken and egg' issue here. For devices that are not needed during the install (like a sound card or the like), you'd just of your 'post install' process. I did this for sound cards and for FireWire (the IEEE1394 modules are considered 'unsupported') on several different machines I installed WBL 3.0 on (WBL 3.0 == RHEL 3.0). If these drivers are needed to install (typically the driver for the SCSI RAID controller) it is lots more fun. You need to create an alternative boot-install disk that has the 'missing' modules or a driver disk. The modules are on the install disks, locked away in the 3). One option would be to get some random other PC with more 'vanila' hardware and install RHEL on this machine (or WBL-CENTOS, which are the same, in case you are paranoid of RH). Then you install the that *matches* the boot-install kernel) and copy-burn the needed modules to floppy-cdrom and then go back to the PowerEdge box and go from there with your 'driver disk'.
