Installation Questions 4284Why I don't use Linux It all boils down to being a square peg in a round hole, which is what Linux really is. I bought a Dell... Correct... Why I don't use Linux! 4286 Tomas Bicsak You do realize that fitting a square peg into a round hole is a useful... I downloaded the Ram disk from the Debian site along with the program that boots from Ram disk (bootstra.prg). I can see just why you are confused. I wanted to see some screenshots of Debian Sarge and I found this great site that has all the shots of the installation and workings of Sarge. On a PC the CD rom disk can be booted on start up and takes you right into the installations screens. On my Atari clone, that cannot be done on start up (at least to my knowledege anyway). The Ram disk I downloaded has all of the installation process inside it and can only be started from my desktop. Once I get the CD set for M68k computers, I am going to try to boot the first CD in the set (from my desktop) and see if that works. -- Edward S.
