Installing Virtual PC on LinuxI think I already know the answer, but I want to make sure. I just now learned of "Virtual PC" which allows you to run multiple OS's simultaneously. Wow! Right now I have Fedora Core 3 as my main OS, and WinXP as a 2nd bootable OS. I work in Linux 90% of the time, buit since I develop Web applications that have to use Internet Explorer and Media Player, I need Windows to test with. But it really sucks having to shut everything down and reboot. I see Microsoft bought Virtual PC, and their site says it only supports Windows and OS-2 OS's, but I have a sneaking suspicion that it still supports Linux but they won't say. From what I can see on old newsgroup postings, Virtual PC 2003 worked with Linux just fine. But I need to ask, since VPC is now a MS product, is it at all possible to install it with Linux as the main OS and WinXP as a side OS? Even if I have to reformat and reinstall both OS's, that's fine, but I just want to be able to have Linux use the lion's share of the RAM and HD. Any recommendations or anecdotal evidence would be appreciated. =) Thanks, Liam Installing Virtual PC on Linux 2982 On Fri, 18 Feb 2005 18:36:19 +0000, Grant Edwards I own an OEM copy of 2K so I'm good to go. One thing to keep in mind is the licensing difference between 2K...
