Intel to cut Linux out of the content market 4264Michael Heiming
One hundred million is actually almost 10% of the population there, and I'd bet Xinhua would be aggressively pushing the fact if there was a hundred millions of Chinese using Red Flag heavily :-) Since the majority of the Chinese population still aren't connected to Internet, there aren't more than some few millions Chinese connected yet. Of course the press agencies often rant about how many Chinese are actually connected, by never tell the meagre percentage of the population beeing connected ... The Red Flag was seen on an Oracle demonstration, for the Beijing Linux User Group, that the Oracle database actually could run at Red Flag. I must admit, I'm not much impressed about it.
They did manage to send a man into space, indeed. A bit amusing that it didn't go down in flames, though, if they base their software on windows. Dual head, equalize color difference Michael Heiming The ATI drivers only support the 8500 and higher cards, so it's no surprise they didn't work. But it doesn't matter: the older Radeon cards... I may be wrong about that, I just have a friend in a small software company "SpaceTec" which are developing software also for Chinese clients - and he says they don't know of anything but Windows. I have no clue about if their Chinese clients is representing the gov't run space programme or if it's just a small company mining sattelitte data -- Tobias Brox
