KAddress Forgetting DataChallengeResponse For Linux. Does It Exist 5065 AAAAaaah yes... NOW I remember.... Your using the patented brain dead alanconnor system aren't you. No sane person would. but you do... For those in the dark, it... Hi Guys, I am still sorting out the KAddress book problems I have had recently. I discovered that when I used Guarddog to reset my security I forgot to enable CORBA (listed on the Guarddog GUI under the "Interactive Session" menu. Blocking CORBA end data going to and from my KAddressbook and also the gThumb photo application. I have set up my KAddress using a new st of addresses called "Dave's Addresses. I am not able to click on an address in my KMail program and add that address. I receive "Can't add to address book" message. I can click on the "new message" in KMail and see a whole lit of folks as prospective mail addressees. I can't click on one of those names and add them to the address book. I looked in thehome-dave-.kde.... area and found the vcf folder .. but it does not contain the prospective email address list that KMail uses as a drop down. My ideal would be to take those addresses plus the 500+ addresses which I have in comma delimited and merge them into a single file which can then be read and used by KMail and KAddress. Looking at the KAddress site reveals that lots of folks seem to be having the same problem. Likewise, Googling for the KMail answer revealed that KMail balks at some types of data exchange with KAddress and vice versa. My ultimate goal here is to set up my own litrtle LDAP system with my 1000+ business and personal addresses available on the home business system of Linux, Mac and Beos boxes. TIA for your help!! Dave
