KaddressbookKaddressbook 4686 I wrote to the author maintainer at KDE because I thought this had earned their attention. Tobias responded immediately and requested this be posted for all: Thanks for the... In my continuing effort to make my SUSE v9.3 servicable, I looked today at Kaddressbook. I have two questions, which I have not been able to answer for myself by reading through the User's Guide for the utility. 1) For test purposes, I entered data for a single user into the program, including telephone numbers. Strangely, I do not see how to actually use these numbers by dialing them. It is not believable that an address book can't dial telephone numbers (although that was the bane bug in Borland's Sidekick v1.57 PIM long ago in the DOS dream-time), so I understand that there is something that the User's Guide has neglected to impart. How can I make Kaddressbook dial, or what auxiliary utility do I have to install for this purpose? 2) The User's Guide tells me that I can import contact data as a comma-separated file, but neglects to tell me how to do this. For example, do the fields have to be in a specific order? Or are they identified by headings in the first line? And if the latter, what heading strings are recognized? I can do whatever needs to be done, but (here again) the User Guide is not giving me enough information to know what needs to be done. -- Stan Goodman Qiryat Tiv'on Israel
