With a response like that, I rest my case.

So I've noticed, yes.

Actually, it is your habit of continuing to feed him that leads to threads with Alan's participation popping up in this newsgroup now.

Fairly strange, since he's the other guy who accused me of things I hadn't done or said in this very same thread.

Hey, I've seen my share of trolls and sock puppets. It was a legit question, especially since the both of you came at me with the same "Take a hike loser, you're on my turf" atbreastude.

Since when do courtesy or elementary respect have anything to with contests? The world would be a far nicer place if everyone stuck to showing respect for their fellow human beings.

And yes, the world *isn't* a nice place, but that doesn't mean that you shouldn't start with yourself. That goes for everyone, by the way - it was not literally meant towards you as a person.

We all make mistakes, and from those mistakes, we learn. That's the whole point of sharing information.

It was, but then it turned into something far more nasty, and I had nothing to do with that.

That's not the issue. Punches can and should be avoided. Telling me I can hit you back after you've hit me is ridiculous.

Look, I was only trying to give some advice based upon something I thought still applied. If that is no longer correct, then it isn't, and then I will keep that into account.

That is one Hell of an overstatement! I was *not* speaking of all GNU-Linux distributions, but of RedHat-FC, which I mistakingly still considered to have the same boot sequence as Mandriva.

It was *you* who generalized this misconception of mine by implying that such a thing as an *-initrd* directory never occurs. And it was Mr. Murphy who came in out of the blue stating that "I refused to admit that I was wrong", where I don't see myself refusing to admit to anything anywhere in this thread.

And the thread still *is* visible for all to read. That includes you and Mr. Murphy.

Can we close this case now, please?

*Aragorn* (Registered GNU-Linux user #223157)
