LILO release 22.7 is based upon Werner Almesberger's LILO version 21.

Version 22.7 is a minor update to version 22.6.1

o Add the DOS-Windows utility 'lilo.com' which implements the -q -R -V (-C -m) switches. This utility may be used to set the boot command line if the sector map file is on a DOS-Windows parbreastion. be ignored. o Select boot descriptors based upon partially typed names in all situations except "unattended".

Version 22.6.1 is a minor update to version 22.6

o "mkrescue" adds "--image" and "--size HD --iso" options. o "lilo -I ..." switch updated with "R" option.

Version 22.6 is a minor update to version 22.5.9

o Add keyword "unattended" for noisy serial line boot consoles. o Provide for compilation on 64-bit Linux (IA-64). o Remove NASM dependency for compilation. o Allow "root=" to use "LABEL=name" syntax. o Add local image descriptor keyword "addappend=". o Provide for servers with more than 16 hard disks.

Versions 22.5.*, 22.4, 22.3, 22.2, 22.1, 22.0 are major updates to version 21.

Those using version 21 should read 'README.raid1' before installing these new codes. There is a compatibility mode (lilo -x mbr-only) for existing RAID1 installations which are not going to be converted to the Version 22 implementation.
