But, I have a small peer-to-peer network, and internet connection sharing in Linux has worked flawlessly every time I've installed. I can relate. I'm trying to solve a similar problem now. Something you don't want to try unless you have to. Basically, you're adding something to your kernel that wasn't in the original source. Sometimes that works great, and a problem .. like no sound .. gets fixed. Sometimes it hoses your entire system, and it's time to reinstall. That's a problem that all distros have to address. There is a database that all Linux installs read from to resolve dependency issues when installing programs. Kpackage needs access to that database, so that it can automatically resolve dependency issues with all programs, or else all programs must come bundled with all required libraries. BTDT, almost as many times with Linux as with Windows, and I've done it a *lot* in Windows. The latest install on one of my boxes, however, has really worked. This one I am keeping for a long time. Of course not, but Linux is *worth* the effort and the frustration. I am to the point where I must have an alternative to Microsoft OS and products. Linux is that alternative and it's becoming more viable all the time.
