You're conclusion shows a general lack of logical reasoning.

You tested Linux against purely Windows requirements. That is, your tests were.... "if it's not exactly like Windows it's a failure."

Is Linux == Windows??

The answer is no. And so your test was doomed to failure.

I can butture you that I could perform my own test using flawed testing criteria as well and prove beyond a shadow of doubt that "Windows Fails the Family Test". But I wouldn't spam the newsgroups with my findings. That's pretty immature.

So, for some strange and unknown reason, you decided to post your bad reasoning to all of the newsgroups here. Not sure why. Seems like you don't really understand how to be helpful at all. Are you a spammer by any chance? Perhaps a virus writer? Software patent lawyer? (or is this Darl?... you sly dog you)

As for my family (I can butture you my family is equally as valid as yours... if not more so, since I doubt the sincerity of your post) we enjoy Linux. I will admit, my daughter still dual boots.... and depending on what game she is wanting to play, she'll be using Windows the most.... however my wife ONLY has Linux on her desktop.

There's nothing wrong with running Windows... Linux simply presents an alternative. I like GNU-Linux because I can get a lot of functionality without the huge price tags. I usually find that those who are satisified with Windows are usually obtaining software illegally (not always the case of course, but most just aren't that wealthy). If you want all of the features on your Windows box that are found on a typical Linux box, I can butture you that you will spend hundreds if not thousands of extra dollars. Something I don't want to do.
