Let's see, you post an acidic, vitriol-laden flame against Linux in a forum...actually, a number of forums, which are prety much guaranteed to be populated with proponents of the object of your ire. How could you possibly expect anything less?

Like all other engineers, you have a great deal of education in one relatively narrow area but you are totally lacking in social graces, communication skills, interpersonal relationships and completely devoid of common sense. You are completely unfit for integration into "normal" society.

Ah, great approach to problem solving, just buttume that your methodology was completely error-free and that the results you obtained are a defect of the material with which you were working. Let me know how that works out for you in designing an airframe or an ASIC for a guidance system in a nuclear-tipped cruise missile.

...except for the face you choose to represent through your communication. Actually, considering the material you gave us to work with I think that many of us can come up with a couple of fairly accurate hypotheses, one of which is probably correct.

(A) You are socially inept and lacking in any skills outside of your field of expertise;

or

(B) You were intentionally attempting to start a flame war for reasons of your own (which would promote further negative inferences as to your moral character and-or level of intelectual maturity.

Quite evident...unless (B) is true.

Consider the answer and apply it to the reaction you have received here (ask her to explain it to you if you can't quite grasp it on your own). (Note: I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt and buttuming (A) is true rather than (B), i.e.: that your initial communication and claimed lack of understanding of the response is based on ignorance rather than malicious intent.)

Oh, right. You have failed to educate yourself on the proper use of the tool for a particular application and now wish to place the entire blame on the tool just because *you* don't understand how to use it correctly. Are you still cursing your VCR because it's still blinking --12:00-- or did your wife finally get the 10 year-old from next door to come and fix it?

It's a good thing they aren't limited to what *you* can teach them, isn't it?

It's a good thing that your family isn't "typical", the world would be doomed. buttuming (A), and given the qualities you appear to display in your communications, one might deduce that your "family" consists of at least one, and possibly two narrow-minded, egotistical Liberal eggheads who lack social skills, common sense and general problem-solving abilities (outside of their specialized fields) and several children whose parents cannot possibly teach them skills which they themselves lack, and who, despite possibly possessing relatively high I.Q.s and intellectual skills find themselves ill-suited for functioning in the real world.

Of course, if we were to buttume (B) rather than (A), then we would also have to buttume that everything about you is probably a lie.
