How does a person know to download Eudora-Firefox-Freeagent for Windows? yum is much easier than surfing all over the web in your infection-prone IE looking for safe replacements....

The unwritten, unspoken standard that MS changes arbitrarily and breaks previous versions? The same MS Word that cannot write a document more than 30 pages long? Look it up, it's in the MS KB.

Ummm... Try most of Germany, and a handful of other governemnts....

Ah, OK, so it's OK to download stuff for Winows, but not Linux.... And to hack the registry, and a few other arcane things, but a simple download for linux is out of the question....

And how is a windows newbie supposed to know this? And download them since the average time-to-infect a new XP system is what, 17 minutes?

You must not use it much....
