But anyone reading the whole artical would of known... So much for the TCO for Linux. Sure they had trouble filing their reports. Chances are all the other systems were running Windows and MSOffice so StarOffice, being the poo program it is, could not talk to the rest of the systems. This, is a PRIME EXAMPLE of Linux in the REAL WORLD and why LINUX can't compete with Windows. It has little to do with cost (although that is certainly a consideration), but everything to do with the fact that Linux simply could not provide even the most basic serivces needed by a police deptartment.
