That's hysterical! I'd like to set that 'puter up in a room full of college students and feed them White Castles and beer and see what happens. Sounds like it to me. Yes they do. However, most of the Linux fools squawking about how great Linux is have no experience in the recording field other than recording aunt Tillie's retirement speech via a laptop and sound blaster.
You'd be a complete fool to leave professional tools and move to Linux. Your client base would disappear as soon as word got out you were using Linux.
Linux is great for basic machines as well as servers. Linux is not great for a recording studio.
