Nitpick warning, but if I were evaluating their work and facilities based on those quotes, a couple things would make me hesitate. Specifically:

"I think?" That comment made me wonder if he's even used Pro Tools? It's the de facto standard of computer-based audio production and has been for years. Does he actually know where his system offers advantages over Pro Tools and where it's weaker? If not, how can he comment on it's relative value and performance? How can I, as a potential client, know that his "alternative" is going to perform to typical "industry standards?"

The answer in THIS case is that it doesn't actually have to, since they only mention the fact that they have a Linux system AFTER listing the Mac with DP-Logic etc.

Fair enough. But he didn't say "the most practical solution available for typical pro audio production." He said it's the best *Linux* has to offer. I read that as being the same as saying "I think the InterControl computerized engine management system is the best alternative available for a Chevy product." That means that if you're going to drive a Chevy, that system is a good choice. That does NOT mean that it will make your Chevy a contender in a professional racing circuit.

So, saying that Jack is the best Linux has to offer is not the same as saying that Jack is the best choice for a professional production environment. I'm not saying it's not usable, but it's important not to make conclusions that aren't supported by the statements.
