I don't recall that - but that was years ago. Certainly the "normal" 80486s (AMD, Cyrix and Intel) were all 32 bit addresses on the CPU. You'll probably have to run it as an SVGA at best. Any of the small Linux distributions should work - even X provided you use a light weight desktop (forget KDE or Gnome - you don't have enough memory to display the splash screen). Go for it! For what it's worth, my home firewall is what is left of RAM and a 213 Meg hard drive. At work, I have a 486 lapdog with 32 Megs of RAM and a 1.05 Gig drive that I use as a network troubleshooting tool - it's using FVWM to provide multiple terminal sessions. Old guy
