Linux is More than Ready For Professional Audio. Here is Proof! 1672Using 'noatime', and other options inetcfstab, correctly 1674 CodeWright Thanks for the reply - I was afraid of that... I was thinking it wasn't possible either I see I guess I'd have to shrink the one main parbreastion? hmmm....but how to tell... John Swensen hmmm sounds to me like you dont think Im a professional just because you "think" Im a one man operation, well I am actually part of a 32 piece team and we do a large range of work for several media houses both localy and interstate so I think that remark is rather insulting! Using 'noatime', and other options inetcfstab, correctly 1675 iforone Hi John-Paul; I think I should get some more RAM; ~$ free total used free shared buffers cached Mem: 192160 185080 7080 0 21864 43604... and WOW clients who care more about how their work is produced than what it sounds or looks like? you must be proud to have them :) not one of the clients I deal with on a daily basis cares about what software I use so long as at the end of the day I have produced what they want. Im going to go out on a limb here and "buttume" that you had a quick look and because you couldn't do something straight away with it you decided it was no good as professional software, that seems to be the usual atbreastude of people who only know how to use software that does most of the work for them. That seems to Me like saying Im going to build a house, but I wont use a hammer Ill get someone else to do it and then saying "look aren't I clever I did this", NO you didnt all you did was pay someone else to do it for you. Or going out and buying takeaway food and then declaring that your a good cook, again NO you aren't you paid someone else to do it for you. so what, your trying to tell me is that if the software doesn't do it for you, you cant produce the work? thats rather sad in My book. Using 'noatime', and other options inetcfstab, correctly Updated and SOLVED iforone iforone Hi folks - TIme for an Update, and my results from what I've noticed. If you... I suppose you also update you car every 2 -3 years to "save" on paying tax too but end up paying twice as much, as the tax would have been, in car repayments? that makes sense :)
