LinuxI'm glad you found something useful on Usenet. I have a couple of suggestions intended to improve your futures experiences here: First, this is Usenet. It existed long before Google was founded. The conventions for Usenet are called 'netiquette'. A little study and-or lurking around a while will help improve your future experiences. Desperate with SUSE 10.0 install on Amilo Pi Notebook Hi, after lengthy consideration and some lowering of my demands, I have finally purchased a Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo Pi 1536 notebook... Please include context. Many if not most of those who saw your posting have no way to know what you were commenting on. Many real newsreaders do threading, but anyone who had already read the earlier postings in the thread won't see the posting to which you followed up. When posting context, use proper attribution, and don't top-post. I don't know the details, but if you lurk a while you will see pointers to instructions on how to force Google's reportedly-broken interface to let you post properly. When posting about success solving a problem, it's a nice idea to include a description of what solved the problem. That way, the solution will be available in the archives. If you are the original poster, this subject line is not as helpful as it could have been. A more descriptive subject line will attract those who can help. It will also help those who search the archives find useful information more easily. Again, welcome to Usenet. I hope you find the communication medium as useful as I have. -- Robert Riches (Yes, that is one of my email addresses.)
