LiveCd with NFS server capabilites. 2284Douglas Mayne I actualy don't want to scan the cd-contents by nfs (why would i want that?), just wanna have acess to the hard-disk parbreastions... Anyway, i tryed just now to export the whole system of the kanopix live-cd and a wierd thig appened: i export *(ro) mounted on my pc and i can see the live-cd contents but konqueror tells me the files are not there as i click on then (it is not permissions), it looks like the files are deleted but i can still see the icones and refreshing don't change nothing. another wierd thing: on the live-cd sistem i have previosly mount all the hard-disk particionsdev-hda1 onmedia-had1, etc... and nothing is there when i scan those directories remotely, looks like the devices are not mounted but they are... mount points are empty scanning remotely and full of files when viewed localy. i don't know if this as to do with the problem you have detected or if it's a NFS feature, only with more tests i can know that. Humm... i can mount it (no permission denied stuff) eh eh, i have a 100Mbit ethernet lan and i can copy a file from one computer to another as fast as i was just copy the same file from one location to another on the same disk... i don't believe that a gigabyte lan would be abled to run at full speed because the other hardware (like hd) will not responde as fast as it is needed, but maybe i'm wrong :) Problems with Dosemu Bob Hauck Right, I don't see that message anymore. In fact, this disappearance shows that the problem lies elsewhere. xdosemu doesn't seem to be... regards ArameFarpado
