Is anyone using a logitech wireless keyboard and mouse combo? It has a mouse and keyboard and a single wireless recevier with one USB connector.

This worked fine on an older system running knoppmyth. I recently chagned the platform to newer hardware running debian etch with a self-built 2.6.18 kernel. The mouse isn't being recognized properly.

I can see stuff ondev-input-event1 (I get gobs of junk when I cat that device and move the mouse) but X can't recognize the mouse type. I get jerky movement, random menus, and - weirdest of all - some sort of short-circuit between mouse and keyboard, where moving the mouse will result in occasional keyboard input.

The system recognizes it OK:

but the mouse is just hosed....

Any ideas? Suggestions?
