Looking for GNUGPL Excel like Spreadsheet package for my customized live Linux CD solutionThe problem is that that is no answer to the question. In case rewording the requirements might be informative, the O.P. was looking for a small spreadsheet system, along with: Hardware Configuration on DSL 3344 OK..."lspci grep -i audio" gave me nothing at all. "lspci" gave me the following: 0000:00:00.0 0600: 8086: 7190 (rev 02) 0000:00:01.0 0604: 8086: 7191 (rev 02... a) Its features, and b) Its dependancies. Gnumeric has relatively comparable functionality to Excel; all the sorts of calculating things, formatting them, importing data from numerous formats, and such... Pretty promising, all in all. On Debian, here's the set of dependancies... --- gsfonts --- gnumeric-common (= 1.4.3-3) That's liable to be deemed a large list, and they add up to being pretty large, too. If OpenOffice.org was unacceptably big, as was KSpread, then Gnumeric is probably not an acceptable choice either. There are a number of smaller possibilities that have simpler sets of dependancies: 1. Teapot - pretty much just needs GLIBC + ncurses 3. There are several descendants of sc, a C + ncurses system including: sc xspread slsc ss vote None are nearly as pretty as the later-breaking packages, but they might represent better answers.
