You can say a lot about Apple but they sure don't stop at the Case Design, they make SURE the operating system and included software is just as well designed. It's a Zen thing for sure.

Any Mac made in the last 3 years is plenty fast enough to run Tiger. The mini is a little speed demon, it's a 1.25Ghz PPC! That's roughly a 2.0Ghz Intel-AMD, more than enough to run Tiger.

Popular in terms of being enjoyed the most, not the most "generic". In other words, more people like Macs than any other platform.

Let's see. No office software, no video software, no photo software, no dvd burning software, no music software, etc, etc... Linux really only is good for Servers, and that has pretty much been eclipsed by Tiger Server.

This is going to put many a Linux Tech out of work, just watch!
