Memtest test suiteThat is not where to get it, at least for Intel *86 processors. I get mine Linux persontoperson chess program Ignoramus16588 Not especially linux, but useable for peer-2-peer chessplay, provided at least one of them has access to some php-enabled webspace... I don't... You will not get that with the real memtest86, since it is entirely self-contained. You would not even need a working hard drive on your machine to run it, much less a libstdc++. On my Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3 system, the library is there: $ locate libstdc++.so.6lib-ssa-libstdc++.so.6.0.0lib-ssa-libstdc++.so.6 but to get it, you must have Linux running. If you are testing your memory, it may be that your memory is not working correctly and that is why your other test program cannot find it. Or you may have a distro too old (or too new) to have the required library. Sure. Use the real memtest86. Download the .iso version of the program and burn it to a CD-R. (It will fit on a floppy, but I distrust them and they do not last very long.) The author of this program accepts financial contributions (though he does not require one), and I suggest if you find it useful you contribute. -- .~. Jean-David Beyer Registered Linux User 85642.
