Mgetty+Sendfax on LiveCDBill Marcum FWIW - and just a FYI - a Knoppix 3.6 CD required atleast 142MB RAM to boot up into a full Desktop :-( That said - Knoppix certainly can be made to boot into other modes, that require less RAM (ex; text mode (see F23 for boot options, as at the Boot: prompt - no quotes) - This can be done as well with any of the KUXubuntu variants, I suppose....and then there's PuppyLinux and many others, such as MEPIS and Elive, which I hear some rave about. DSL, as the OP has discovered, can be upgraded to a degree and apps added, but I found it a bit torturous when I briefly tried awhile back, and besides - a LiveCD (which Knoppix is) is not meant to install or upgrade from repositories (though I see no harm in adding an app or two) - and note: *some* have successfully installed it onto Hard Disk and use it in it's current CD state...and-or are verycareful about where and how they add-upgrade things. Others have "remastered" the Knoppix CD to their liking and only include the things-support they need. mkrescue: error: no space left I'm trying to make rescue boot disk; the syntax I use is: mkrescue --devicedev-sdb sdb is my...
